Le Châble to Cabane du Mont Fort

About this hike

This is one of the toughest ascents of the Haute Route. The trail climbs nearly 1,700 meters from the valley floor to the high mountain hut. Expect steady uphill hiking through forest, meadows, and eventually open alpine terrain. Cabane du Mont Fort offers excellent views of the Grand Combin and surrounding peaks.
